There is a tremendous amount of confusion regarding MU and MUEI. I live in Idaho and I would say that the majority of people who live in the Boise area do not really realize that there are two different companies.

When I first became interested several years ago in investing in MU, I did a search for Micron and turned up both ticker symbols. I didn't know which was which. I asked around amoung my investing freinds and no one seemed to know.

Eventually I moved on to something else but it was not until about a year ago that I really got the story straight about the two Microns. I am sure that institutional investors understand the difference, but with a company the size of MUEI individuals can play a role in the stock's movement too. I am certain that each company benefits from, and suffers from, the success of it's sister company.
