The AEA technology conference in San Diego begins first thing Monday morning. WIND presents to money managers and analysts all day Monday and Tuesday morning, a total of 11 times. Perhaps Michael Greene will attend again this year and provide us another stellar assessment.

RSYS and INTS also present in the first group starting Monday. I don't believe MWAR will be participating in the conference.

Apparently there is an adage that smart investors buy the fall AEA conference and sell the H&Q technology conference in the spring.

Re the Joint Strike Fighter Demo. In case anyone is wondering what this kind of business means to WIND, it is surprisingly profitable. While the number of targets will be small, even in full production, serious money will be made immediately on the sale of numerous product licenses (seats) with all the options. With multi-billion dollar defense contracts, not only the prime contractor but countless subs will need to be equipped to work on aspects of embedded systems using the designated standard, which appears to be VxWorks.

Of course an indirect benefit is that all these trained development teams impose their training and experiences on related projects, both defense and commercial. No doubt this is why WIND acknowledged recently that Military sales were growing rapidly, and comprised a significant part of the whole.
