"And yet, it will keep costs to the average family from rising five fold over the next 7 years."

Without some form of public/OPM panel & MC 55+, there is nothing to hold down costs. Without foreign drugs, there is no competition. Pre-existing conditions will come with a 3-5 X premium for starters; same for the older uninsured.

I'm OK with taking all mandates and fines and ins co subsidies out, and passing portability, pre-existing @ the same price as the rest, no cut-offs, no lifetime limits, and 90% payback.
I don't want to see one dime of tax money go to ins to subsidize low income. I could just go to the company and donate a policy to Jane Doe if I wanted that.

Besides, not to quibble or anything, but 5X is really 2X.

We will get a public option when people hurt enuf to yell loud enuf to be heard. Give it up now, and it is gone for another 40 years.

No one ever gets 100%
No one ever gives up 90%, either. If rumors are true, this bill is a dawg so ugly mine wouldn't give it a second glance, let alone sniff its butt..
