It is odd to me. Ted -- and some others -- seem to have the idea that the South is one big Klan meeting, out on a dirt road somewhere. No idea about it.

Jim, you're from FL, which has been being invaded by retiring liberal NY Jews and Cubans as long as I've been alive. It's not even really "the South" anymore. Al lives in Alabama. I'd say AL, MS and SC are still very much traditionally "southern", but FL and Texas - not so much.
