B4 you lower the unemployment rate, you have to stop job loss. Are we there, at a bottom plateau, (is there a word for that?)? I dunno. We lost 750K in Jan and almost that much in Feb B4 the bill passed. I'm thinking things will look a lot better in March...one reason is that we always get economically gloomy this time of year, and things look better in the spring. Another is that a lot of the stim money will be spent next year. Maybe backloaded as a political tool? I didn't say that, cuz that would mean politics as usual. Census hires a lot of temps, and you get unemployment when they dump you. Further down the road, I think Cal high speed rail construction starts in '11, with ? 110K construction jobs. If we get water for the farmers, lots more jobs.
