Rockwell has announced it has modems ready for sale in 1998 at speeds of 1mbs, real close to cable speeds. it is called cdsl, where the c stands for consumer dsl. it is a replacement for their 56flex tech. that works over standard phone lines and has so much bandwith you can make a phone call and be on line at the same time. sorry i don't have the whole story, i saw it on the ascend thread nov.2 posting. (ascend and rockwell are pretty well interlinked) Not trying to scare any-one just the messenger of news. I'm sure if you look at the rockwell thread it will be there too. regards
