This would be such a politically stupid move -- and everyone would know why it was done -- that I cannot believe they would follow through with it. Pelosi, Reid and Obama are all making huge sacrifices to try and get this legislation done. But this would be political suicide -- as it would be sure to be characterized as playing politics with national security and there really isn't any counter-argument. I just find it difficult to believe they would fall into that trap.
