I like his list. But internally the article is hypocritical. He might not have meant it to be that way, that's true, he might not even be a hypocrite (though how he could miss the fault in his article I've no idea) but it's there. To note the problem with the article is just part of the process of reading it, for me. And the fact that part of it is strangely hypocritical, does not take away from the very good points in it.

I don't really need to "give him the benefit of the doubt" since I like his points, but find his example hopelessly slanted. That doesn't mean I'll ignore his points, it just means I think his ability to comprehend his own points is a little off. So I'm really grading his writing, not the guy himself- though certainly his inability to follow his own dicta makes we wonder about him. But not much.
