What is the problem? There seems to be a constant bickering about Intel and $1,000 computers.People will buy value---if it comes in $1000 computers then they will buy them. If it comes in $2500 computers then they will buy them.
There is no question that today Intel is the undisputed leader.Maybe somebody else will make up some ground but IMO they need to bring there lunch and plan to stay all day.

Paul,

Despite your best efforts here to deceive investors, most Intel followers/investors find Intel's guidance to be much more credible than your ramblings. Bottom line is that CPU margins remained firm in Q3 and are expected to remain firm to slightly up in Q4.

John Hull has already once refuted your bogus claims of dumping and/or selling chips at no profit.

BTW, if you don't understand why Intel is cutting PII prices agressively then you don't understand very much about this industry. It has nothing to do with soft demand and everything to do with making slot 1 the new standard. Finally, Intel can afford to drop prices due to their superior manufacturing processes whereas Cyrix and AMD can not.
