One only need look to the idiocy of the mayor of Toronto.. who on one hand accepts a take a shot at Canada award while he tacitly promotes a larger carbon foot print in Toronto ... so much for his clean sweep broom... I just came back from the dump where I dutifully dropped off my scrap metal (charges incurred), my hazardous wastes (old brake fluid and paint etc) and two ancient portable TVs.. missing (thankfully) the busiest shopping day in Canada :O) so I do not take kindly to folks moralising at me.. on GW (not that you are :O) I could leave that stuff @ the curb like the majority ...

As to my oilsands comment.. another clue is that no agreement was mentioned with respect to the destruction of forests (rainforests) which accounts for more carbon increase than fossil fuels.. There is a fall guy in all this :o(..

As to GW in general.. I'm all for saving the environment.. however.. I really believe that there are too many unaddressed holes in the argument.. but I crave clean air.. so if the two goals can be aligned ... OK maybe.. but hearing folks like Suzuki for his obtuseness.. and Gore for his profiteering being held up as paragons of the 'movement' makes me ill..

Now I need to put up my Christmas lights.. :O)
