Absolutely.....I mentioned it before, tho I remember not where...

....but the average purchase price of a stock by investors over the past couple years was DJIA 6600~6800.

The real test for these "I'm here for the long haul" people is, if (when?) the DJIA drops below 6600 --- how many of these people are gonna cut bait?

It's easy for you and I to say we are in for the long haul while we have a net profit...if we have nothing to show for years of investment, our buying the dips producing more paper losses; how long will it take us to find another game to play?

....At least, when it happens, we won't have to put up with those nauseating mutual fund ads any more.
