Judy if the asian crisis can drop the market 550 points.. :)
dont count your chickens yet. Americans are very independant, usually, upto a point or they say. Dont need anyone or anything from anyone else in the world. Reality is quite different. But the shock would have quite a profound impact on the US I would think. I have seen countries go to war over relegion and less. We in the US dont think about any of that, untill there it hits the threshold at which point everyones noticing it. And if the big boys hedged their bets that the asian crisis is going to correct the market quite a bit I can just imagine the kind of bets soros would place and a nudge here and there knowing how relegion plays a part in everyday life for the vast majority of people outside the states.

And one thing I am sure off.. for the month of dec 1999, CNBC wil be broadcasting the end of the world is near playbacks..

Judy- Just got this Globex news- futures trading strongly higher nearly S&P up 5 points.
