Just had a really weird experience.

I had the TV running in the background with the local PBS station on. They announced a program called "Things that Aren't Here Anymore" about various L.A. sights like the Red Car, Bunker Hill's Angels flight, and Pacific Ocean Park, which was an updated version of the amusement park, Ocean Park meant to compete with Disneyland.

Back in those days, we got tickets to everything because my dad was in the newspaper biz. He sent a couple of his photogs to take pictures of the opening of the new POP (Pacific Ocean Park) and there I am with the guy I was dating at the time getting on one of the rides with one of the skirts that had about 4 crinolines under it to make it more full.
My 4 seconds of fame. :)
