I may set you up to start a new tradition

It wouldn't be the same. And I will decline to do it. There are some family traditions I don't want to share with the likes of Harvey.

For the rest of you: my lovely DIL has a creep for an uncle (married to her mother's sister, who is a very nice person).

At Thanksgiving, dinner was served buffet style. There were two piles of utensils: one with cloth napkins and silverware, meant for the adults; the other was plastic silverware and paper napkins meant for the younger set.

I was one of the last to go through the line and there were 2 cloth napkin sets left and I picked one up. Harvey grabbed it out of my hand and said, "That isn't meant for you." Of course his wife descended on him and grabbed it back and he scooted away like he'd just been beat up.

Needless to say, he is not one of my favorite people.
