That's a fine glib answer, but I was seriously asking for more of a real life response to my question.

Sure, you are right. Bill Gates might have said that. And, of course, the needs for greater amounts of memory increased over the years.

However, when Bill Gates said that, no one rushed out and bought more RAM. It took YEARS for the need to arise.

Unfortunately for Syquest, that company doesn't have years. So, unless you come up with a better answer, I will remain unconvinced as to your true reasons why you continue to tout this company.

And he was right for at least a year. . . So what you're saying is that in a year or so, someone might want this drive? By then Syquest will be pushing up daisies. . .
