I'm pretty sure you know all of this, which just points to how silly this debate has become. It's more about partisan politics than about really debating the science.

Thats for sure!

..a rightwingnut.. ..It's more about partisan politics than about really debating the science.

Calling someone a "rightwingnut" is certainly not "debating the science". And yes, the reality is that "global warming" and "climate change" politics has totally subsumed objective science.

Expect more polarization in the future, as the economic ramifications of "climate politics" become manifest..

Kevin Trenberth isn't a rightwingnut.

'The fact is we can't account for the lack of warming at the moment, and it's a travesty that we can't.' Kevin Trenberth, U.S. Center for Atmospheric Research

As for the current coldness and blizzard conditions, I expect the GISS to find that this past Dec 20 was the warmest and least snowy ever .... after adjustments, of course.

When politicians and scientologists working on government grants claim we have to give massive new powers to government or face imminent catastrophe, its obvious we're dealing with politics, not science.
