Windows are safer... get the view without the worry. and from the pic, she has a large fine window to see and watch the world from.

When we lived on the mountain, we had Junior and also Gracie, the cat (her brother was George). She was a rather delicate cat, white with spots of orange and black. She went outside but never wandered. well, the first winter I lived up there and the folks left for the winter holidays, Gracie poofed. for days...

and it went to below zero and snowed and... I was frantic. She was gone for 5 days and came back fat and happy. I presume she spent her time in the barn feasting on mice, but hid out when I would go in there in search of her.

in that case it was me traumitized. she seemed amused by it all. and she did that a few more times when they went on trips. never when they were home. nope, never worried them that way.
