That's BS!! There would be NO LOGIC to "dropping" DU on an enemy since the stuff is LESS radioactive than NATURAL Uranium.

We have civilian miners extracting UNDEPLETED Uranium from the ground all the time.

The byproduct of enrichment, called depleted uranium or DU, contains less than one third as much U-235 and U-234 as natural uranium. The external radiation dose from DU is about 60 percent of that from the same mass of natural uranium.[2]

NOW.. they DO shoot the stuff out of tank cannons because they are excellent kinetic penetrators.

But to just drop the stuff is ridiculous. They'd do a better job dropping newly mined stuff.
