I don't believe 2009 was "another record". Nor were the past years GISS claimed were new records. Anything coming out of groups run by James Hansen, Gavin Schmidt, Phil Jones, etc I consider totally untrustworthy.

If it were true that we were setting record high temperatures, Kevin Trenberth wouldn't have admitted privately just this October that we're in a period where warming is absent and its a travesty that we can't explain it. No one who really thinks we're in the warmest year yet would have said that.

I do trust Spencer's NOAA satellite numbers and I trust Richard Lindzen:
