Lets see, the start date (first date you can buy stocks) is the 24th of December. So you can make your picks anytime between now and the 24th, and you get the 24th's close. If you're busy due to the holidays, just say you want to start with $100, and you can make your initial picks whenever you get around to it. Also, since it's Xmas, anyone who enters with $100 prior to the market close on the 28th of December (first real day of the contest) can get in normally, after that it's last place minus a buck to join. I'll be out of town from Jan 4th to 10th, so that week will be a Friday only trading week, so if you want to get your portfolio up and running try to make your picks prior to the end of December.
