Huge. With implants, you can easily put the cost of a brand new Lexus in your mouth. No insurance coverage. Even the union plans argue that implants or above and beyond and therefore not covered by their constantly shrinking dental coverage.

Should nationalize the dentists and leave the docs alone. If you want more inflation, take a pet to the vet. Gonna have to buy insurance their soon, too.

It is also a big cost when you are not retired and are self or uninsured. I'm thinking of calling the UW dental school to see what it takes to enroll as a guinea pig for their students.
