Unemployment/Under-Employment in Los Angeles Now at 20%
In an exclusive report, KNX1070 AM is saying that the unemployment rate within the city of Los Angeles is at 20%, according to the LA County Economic Development Corporation. "That includes those unemployed, those who have given up seeking work and those stuck in part time jobs when they want full time ones--and the figure actually tops 20 percent of the available workforce for the city. That means 1 in 5 of the available workforce in the city of Los Angeles is unemployed or under-employed." Apparently, the number is growing too. *"Under-Employment was added to the headline for clarification purposes. Thanks to all who commented, keep the comments coming!

It is not just Detroit.

Heard from a friend in Ohio yesterday------she is a breast cancer survivor and is now embarking on a new life for her and her family.

They have moved to a farm that was owned by the father in law who was boarding horses to keep the land---for his health he had to leave the cold climate. She has never worked with horses but is learning.

Her husband and son both work in stone work-----however there is no demand for the stone---the husand was laidoff---the son was laidoff and rehired and is now laid off again.

Despite all of this--------she is upbeat that her cancer being in remission, she is learning how to work with horses and that they have at least a temporary place to call home in exchange for the work they do.

What does she think of Obamanation----------it isn't printable.

This is the reason O needs to expand the already unwieldy size of US gov - 2010/12 elections cannot get here quick enough. How long will it take to role back his dinosaur-like political actions?
