Perhaps the Experiment will let you borrow it.

There are now over 100,000 apps available for it, many of them free.

Some of my favorite:

Pandora (probably only available in us)
Kitco
The GPS enabled Google map (included out of the box)
Youtube (same)
Skype (uses wifi only)
Bloomberg
C-SPAN radio (only if you like hearing congressional debates)

The earphone output will plug directly into many car audio systems (just requires purchasing an inexpensive cable).
