Ted, > Staggering amount of prescription drugs found in Brittany Murphy's bedroom: report

Judging from her many engagements (and I'm talking rings, not meetings or parties), she might have been manic-depressive. Not uncommon among movie stars.

She could have been many things but that's not what all those drugs are saying. She's another Heath Ledger. There are MDs in LA who run pill factories where you can get whatever drug you want. Many set up storefronts in Burbank and N. Hollywood where these pills are dispensed like they are candy. That's the ugly truth that no one talks about in LA.

Murphy and her family were all addicted to these drugs. The prescriptions were for her mother, her husband and her. People seem to think that prescription drugs are somehow better for you than street drugs.......and of course that would be wrong. Things are so bad in LA when it comes to prescription drugs that my dentist wouldn't prescribe vicodin when I had my first wisdom tooth out even as it took an hour to extract the damn thing. Instead, he gave me two vicodin pills. When I professed a liking for them, he gave me only one with each other tooth he pulled. That's how cautious the more responsible medical people are in LA because of all the abuse that is happening around them.

Josh Groban said it best: Wake up people........so ends a decade of decadence and devastation in Hollywood. And the stars in trouble are only the tip of the iceberg. There are the people behind the camera who also are in trouble with drugs as well. I thought it was bad when I was there. Its apparently gotten much worse. Very sad.

So sad to see her go

Really. There aren't a lot of talented actors in Hollywood. She was one of the talented ones.
