You're right about one thing. Big business and big labor have a stranglehold on our gov't and they do squash cottage industries. However, I don't include big oil in your definition of a cottage industry. Rather, I would say the renewable energy industry has been struggling to get off the ground, because of the stranglehold that the oil and coal lobbies have on our gov't. That has to change.

Also, please don't defend Bush Jr. You lose all credibility when you do. No one in their right minds thinks Bush did a good job. His father did and Reagan did, but Bush Jr was a failure.
