This is all off topic. I'll simply note that Obama has not gotten anyone to follow him and do what he wants. Check Iran, NK, China, Russia ....

Not off topic at all...Let's consider your list. Neither GOP and Bush nor the Dems and Obama have made much progress with either Iran or NK. So I'd say that it's not a partisan issue, rather, it's just that those are tough nuts to crack.

As far as Russia, they were increasingly bold and openly mocked Bush during his administration. So far with Obama, he is getting very close to closing a major deal with them to reduce both of our countries' nuclear stock piles. In addition, Obama was able to get Russia to sign on to a round of sanctions against Iran.

As far as China, Bush made absolutely zero progress with China during his administration. During Obama's first year, he has been able to get the Chinese to agree to targets for a reduction in carbon intensity. Although, not as much as hoped, it is better than nothing, which is what Bush accomplished.

So in comparison, Obama is doing much better than Bush on the diplomacy front, and it's just been 1 year. Obama has 3 more years to do even more to compare even more favorably to Bush Jr.
