The movie is about 70 or 80 minutes. It's well worth watching. He seems to have a very good grasp of current and future events. I didnt find much to disagree with. I appreciated that he understood the time frame for change. The way many gloom and doomers speak you might think that there is going to be a single cataclysmic event that redefines history in an instant. He sees the redefinition of our lives due to peak oil taking place over time - say 20 to 100 years. At the end of the movie you are told. He has stopped researching and writing about collapse. He now spends his time writing lyrics and playing music. He is currently late on his rent and trying to avoid eviction. Personally, I cant give anyone advice on gold. I KNEW it was a short a couple of weeks ago by virtue of its price and what I was reading on these threads. Long term - who knows? Sentiment can change HARD in either direction. ex: Think REAL ESTATE is the road to riches (not long ago) I do have one solid belief regarding precious metals:"The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says the LORD of hosts." Haggai 2:8 in as much as silver and gold represent money -- I take that to mean all fiat currencies as well. Whatever we have is a gift from God. Some say "NO, I earned with hard work and sweat" I say God gave you the strength (or wisdom) to earn it. And he can take that away anytime. my advice: Be rich towards God and your friends. The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. He thought to himself, "What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops." Then he said, "This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I'll say to myself, 'You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.'" But God said to him, "You fool! This very night your life will be demanded of you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?" This is how it will be for anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God. -- Luke 12:16-21
