SadlY I see many of them and thier children popping pills so they do not have to deal with the reality. I don't meet many happy people anywhere I go in any big city anymore, they are either too tired, stressed, or just miserable. I can still find some jolly folks in the smaller towns sometimes but it's not like I remember 20 years ago. We have so much land in this country, instead of food stamps why not give them free access to farms and teach them some skills about growing crops and they can work with thier kids for thier food? That would occupy all that free time they have to snort coke. I look at it as an old network engineer guy - it is not healthy to have 1 node at the top serving so much of the rest of the network - we need lots of independent nodes - the system is more robust that way. If protectionism comes, and global trade slows, energy becomes scarcer, I pity the american kids who have only farmed on some nintendo game and don't have the real skills to work a real piece of land. I hate to admit it, but most of my girlfriends are dead, in jail, or so strung out on drugs they don't which way is up - I am leaving the USA just hoping to find some decent people who don't have so many drug addictions.
