I still think Obama is a good leader and President. He is exactly the right man for the job Obama's actions are approaching fascism in the context of this health care bill (in lock-step with a Democrat congress) -- a blatant disregard for the majority view, violation of rules that have been in place for years, lies piled upon lies, and a willingness to totally ignore the will of the people. Now, I've said I don't know what the right thing to do in AFG is and thus intend to give his policy there a chance, and he is following the path Bush set for him in Iraq, so I'm not bitching about those things. I am totally opposed to what I see as an anti-American attitude and one that does not reflect a competent view of national security threats, but I also think he has moderated somewhat as the OTJ training has been replaced by a little bit of realism and experience. While they were given a powerful majority, they were not authorized to violate their own rules, make blatant lies and mislead the American public, and use bribery and conspiracy to take over 1/6 of the American economy. No American should be sanguine with respect to the fascist tendencies of this government. This is serious shit.

Rather, I took my posting over to the Politics of Energy thread, since really all I care about is this country's energy future, because it is the nexus of all the important issues this country faces. Have you discussed the fact that Obama lied about his support of nuclear energy, as I predicted? I'm all for that. We've spent far too much time and money nation building in other countries. It's time we spent our hard earned money on ourselves for a change. We don't have any money to spend, unless Chinese lend us. I like the ideas the Dems have, especially wrt renewable energy. The GOP has the wrong ideas when it comes to renewable energy, which is my top issue. Does cost of energy figure in any way, when pondering these issues?
