People who assert the MWP as warmer than now have no basis for doing so... In fact they have less basis for that assertion than the climate scientists do for their assertion it wasn't. At best neither can prove absolutely that it was either case. In all likelihood it wasn't warmer than current levels. Even if it was warmer, it proves nothing about current warming TRENDS. The denialists deny the relationship between global temperature and accelerating concentration of CO2. They like to think the Laws of Physics don't apply in their political realm.
