This was no genius move by Paul Allen. The way I see it, Paul Allen had little choice but to increase his holdings to 50%. It's the "midas touch" effect. By investing a few million in new shares, his original 33% stake grows in value by 250%. Sounds like a reasonable investment strategy to me. We'll see where it is in 6 months, after the Paul Allen hysteria subsides and people realize that they're paying over $1,000 for each new subscriber.

Stocks don't only go up, you know. And in this market, it's a lot easier to find the overvalued ones (like MCOM), than the bargains.

P.S. -- I think INTC and MSFT are excellent shorts! As well as KO, GE, CCI, XON, AMZN, and ONSL. And YHOO. And anything else internet related. :) In 2 years you'll look back at this market and ask yourself "Jesus Christ, what was I thinking!"
