Hi whipsaw, >>Looks like tomorrow may be your kind of day or have you and the boys over at ML switched to the side of the wise and penniless ?

I am trying to collect data from the folks on wall street and make decisions on what seems to make sense. What I was trying to communicate was Merrill Lynch has turned cautious. I believe my take on their stance is the capital goods companies are not going to do well in the next bull leg up. This makes sense to me, and they are recommending if I hold capital goods stocks they probably will not do well for a while and if I decide to hold them they should be high quality companies, i.e. not speculative plays. They also are telling us to sell into strength those companies we do not want to hold long term..especially to look at those companies that are going to be hurt by the asian situtation..again if one wants to hold companies that compete directly with asia they need to be high quality companies. I am holding a few of these companies but I believe the companies I am going to hold could withstand a deep recession.

Also I was trying to communicate the boys at Merrill are not recommending to buy anything right now but spend you time looking for companies to buy for the next bull leg up.

I wish someone else on this thread had some information on what the other brokerage houses are telling their clients to do. The junk on CNBC and the media is just that--junk.
