So what?

All the securitized sub-prime mortgatges in the entire world don't amount to even 5% of the notional value of the global Credit Default Swaps markets....

Hell, even securitized US COMMERCIAL real estate markets (crashed also...) greatly exceed all the sub-prime markets.

And JUMBO mortgages (and all of their securitized product) --- which are world's removed from 'sub-prime' and never qualified for *any* government programs or Agency purchases --- crashed just as big, if not bigger, then low-end single family product did.

You are ignoring an entire forest of financial collapse and hurt for focusing *just* on a tiny part of it....
