Iomega website seems as though it has been down for the weekend...have tried it on several occasions.

maybe the Spar-Q blew it up...

or maybe they're busy designing a bucket of water<g>

Re: <<Rocky, a couple of comments regarding the SparQ>>

Dale,

A couple of points for you to consider before going out and buying Syquest stock based on your analysis:

1. I don't know how much you know about marketing, but $16 MM on advertising does not go that far. I wouldn't be impressed that that amount of money will increase awareness all that much.

2. Syquest has repeatedly stated that they would be launching these new products at Comdex. So what? Showing them and having production are two different things. (Just ask Rocky about nhand)

3. Syquest will need to raise A LOT more money to make any inroads at all into Iomega's established market. If they had a $500 MM bankroll, I would entertain the notion that they could possibly succeed at raising their market share. But, this will NEVER happen.

Don't hold your breath. Syquest will never sell enough of anything to remain viable. And, no, Iomega will NEVER bail them out.
