>>I think it's almost time to short the Y2K fixit stocks. How's that for an answer?<<

Certainly an interesting answer. Could you tell me why you feel that way? Do you not think the millenium bug is a serious problem or what?
Revenues for many of the YK2 stocks are growing nicely and many have core businesses which will keep them profitable after the millenium.

You forgot an indicator: Will Instock forego his daily diet of White Castles and truly convert whole-heartedly to the Rally Burger. What about it Instock, Are you a Buford convert?

I'd be very careful shorting Y2Ks if that's the company's core business. I don't know what the "sector" PE is, but nothing would surprise me (150 PEs).

My best friend is a hot shot networking salesman in Boston. He knows all the top level IS guys around MA and many are still looking at doomsday Y2K.

When Y2K comes the 2nd world countries could be the ones to witness hell fire. Think of somewhere like Brazil. Do you think they have the $$$/forsight/ knowledge to adequately address the problem. No. Now think about what happens if a bank doesn't back-up adequately, government pension fund information isn't backed up, etc., the list goes on endlessly.

Hi Doug

Why do think Y2K stocks will go down? I will appreciate your reply.
If you please notice stocks like IMRS, MAST, CBSL are going up since
last 5/6 months.?

Regards
Ravi
