Peter, I am SO HOPING AND PRAYING that the recent demonstrations and protests in Iran are going to lead up to change in that government. It would be a welcome event and long overdue. The Basij and Republican Guards are losing control bit by bit and the more they crack down the more the Iranian people will rise up. The question is whether the Iranian Army is strong enough, or even inclined, to oppose the Republican Guards. I think the younger soldiers of the Army may see an opportunity since they represent the masses of the country, not the most religiously fanaticized who are in the Basij and IRGC. Hawk
