I wasn't addressing what I want, which as you know, would involved canning the entire bill.

I take your point. But do you really want to win that one?

Perhaps this will provide an opportunity to revisit whether Medicare / Medicaid is Constitutional? I doubt it would happen, but this could be a first step towards unwinding the socialist framework.

"I take your point. But do you really want to win that one? If they can't make you purchase insurance, then they can just switch to Medicare-for-all so that will be a tax rather than a purchase. You'd be throwing them right into their favorite briar patch by winning that one."

If this bill is killed in the courts it will be a long time before the dems take on another so called health care reform bill. Also, since medicare is essentially broke (financially) I doubt they could pay for it except by taxes which would be prohivitively high.

It is well documented that that the annual loss in Medicare to Fraud is about 30 to 50 billion by the government's own admission. Am I the only one who finds it odd that this problem is not addressed in this comprehensive legislation. The silence on the subject is deafening.

Dr. Ben Carson was on the radio recently and he made what I think is a ccogent observation. Basically he said when a bill is passed against overwhelming opposition, look for how the lobbyists will benefit. This bill is impossible for anyone who is not an attorney who specializes in health law, to grasp. No one, even such an attorney, can tell your health care plan will look like when it is all said and done.
