Ben Nelson's vote. His reply: There's a hundred senators here. And I don't know if there's a senator that doesn't have something in this bill that was important to them. And if they don't have something in it important to them, then it doesn't speak well of them. That's what this legislation is all about. Reid sees the legislative process as an activity through which individual senators vie for taxpayer dollars to obtain results that are beneficial to them. If individual senators don't get something out of specific legislation, then it "doesn't speak well of them." As the supreme benefit broker, behind closed doors, Sen. Reid dished out abundant benefits to selected members of the Senate as a reward for their vote on the health-care bill. This behavior is nothing short of bribery – with taxpayer dollars. Reid is not only proud of his skullduggery, but he suggests that senators who do not poke their hands into the public honey pot aren't doing their job. It's not too late to rescue the nation! As these weights continually increase, the rate of market growth continually decreases. For half a century, government has been piling regulation on top of taxation, virtually strangling a formerly robust free market. Now that the economy is teetering on the brink of collapse, government ignores the real cause, blames greedy capitalists and is moving rapidly to "fix" the problem by taking absolute control over the economy. A government-managed economy means a government-controlled society. Obama and his Marxist majority's health-care bill is a major step toward government confiscation of more than 16 percent of the economy and control over the people who consume and deliver health-care services. Obama and his Marxist majority are poised to effectively confiscate the energy industry and take control over the people who consume and deliver energy products. Legislation is also moving through Congress to give government ultimate control over the use of land and water. Other legislation creates a new bureaucracy with the power to shut down private businesses that the government says may create a threat to the economy. Obama and his Marxist majority are transforming America into a Marxist nation – just as he promised to do. It is significant to note that this transformation is taking place over the unanimous objection of Republicans. This transformation must be stopped – and reversed. The only way to make this happen is to change the majority in Washington. Therefore, every non-Marxist freedom lover who believes that the U.S. Constitution created the best government yet devised is duty-bound to do everything possible during the next 10 months to unseat the current majority in Washington and replace them with candidates who honor and pledge to support and defend the U. S. Constitution. How do you separate those who will from those who only say they will defend the Constitution? Ask every Congressional candidate if they will co-sponsor, endorse, and vote for the Enumerated Powers Act, which requires the citation of constitutional authority for all proposed legislation. Any candidate who refuses to make this commitment should be rejected.

Bizarre Baucus Behavior on Senate Floor Ignored by MSM By P.J. Gladnick (Bio \| Archive) December 27, 2009 newsbusters.org How can one explain this incredibly bizarre performance by Max Baucus on the Senate floor? Was Baucus so intoxicated by the sound of his own voice that he went off the deep end? Or perhaps he was so drunk with power over shaping the Senate health care bill that it explains his strange rant. In any event, if a conservative such as Jim DeMint or Jeff Sessions had acted this way in the Senate, the mainstream media would have featured the video over and over and over again. Instead, since this was Democrat Max Baucus, this video was almost completely ignored by the MSM. Since the MSM has provided no information on the Baucus performance, your humble correspondent has searched the blogosphere for answers. Here is an observation from Susan Flowers at Examiner.Com: Video... youtube.com Is this acceptable, NO. Is this behavior and lack of leadership acceptable to U.S. Citizens who are paying his salary? Have all rules established over hundreds of years being thrown out and disregarded by the Democrat party? He should be brought before his peers and punished, if they don't, should Voters, as employers, write him up for inappropriate behavior and disorderly conduct? Americans are paying taxes to support his career. If you disapprove, call and write the other Senators and request he be charged with disorderly conduct. No one in the Congress or Senate should be allowed to be intoxicated when officially representing the Citizens of the USA. Ease up, Susan. Perhaps Baucus, in the spirit (or spirits) of the season, was simply full of good Christmas cheer (hic!). Brendan Calling weighs in: Now, i have no proof Baucus is s--tfaced on expensive bourbon. I wasn’t there, I didn’t smell his breath, and I doubt he took a breathalyzer. But just watch that performance and tell me that Baucus doesn’t look and sound like he’s polished off a couple of pints of Old Granddad. And not just his voice: the guy seems to be having trouble standing up straight. look at him reel around like the Tin Man’s dance scene in The Wizard of Oz. True..lib women run on nothing other than venomous emotion towards those who don't share their dark-ages political views. That's due to the fact they've narrow-mindedly hinged their entire political viewpoint on their ovaries. To their miniscule brains nothing is more important in the grand scheme of things than their right to an abortion. Instead of wisely realizing/acknowledging that all it takes today to control that aspect of human life is to employ one form of a plethora of birth control options, those silly women would rather give absolute power to radical leftist, limp-wristed cave-men. Then, to rub salt in the wound, the male Democrats are mysogynists - that's almost no wonder considering the fact their female counterparts definitely fit the outdated-hysterical-female profile.
