The electoral college was invented to empower rural slave owners, as a compromise. It's time is LONG past. Without it, people in cities, the vast majority of Americans, would rule this land as they should.

Another problem is two Senators per state, regardless of population. My state, Utah, with a population of less than 3 million, has as many Senators as California, with a population of almost 37 million. My vote has ten times the power of Ten's!

I think we all can learn a lot from the way Switzerland is managed. Bad behaviour by the politicians, they get it and they get it fast :)
