I continue to defend Obama, because I believe he's doing a good job with a very bad hand. I defended Bush Jr for his first 3 years as well, for much the same reasons. In fact, my support for Bush started to wane the with his shift in priorities to Iraq. As far as Obama, I think he is doing a good job on a number of things, which I can go into later. However, if we are to talk about Congress, which is more directly related to the legislation that you hate right now, I would have to agree with you. I think Congress is doing a shitty job right now and have been for this entire decade. I think they did a much better job during the 90's. I wish we could have a referendum and kick them all out and start from scratch. Maybe we'll get a new batch of centrists in there, instead of obstructionist, solve nothing GOP members and earmarking, profligate Dems.
