BTW, o wise one, one of my German friends called me up last week and told me that they had polled Germans as to what were the most important events of the latter half of the 20th century. In the top 5 was Kennedy's "Ich bin ein Berliner". So then I asked him what number was Reagan's "Mr. Gorbachev, Tear down your wall". Did it make the top ten? My friend said "huh?" I asked him again. No matter how many times I asked and no matter how clearly I explained it to him, he had no idea what I was talking about. Safe to say....Reagan's comment did not even make the top ten if at all. When I got off the phone, I had to laugh. Even I am susceptible to winger propaganda and spin. lol.
