>>> The military doctor who killed 13 wasn't a terrorist but this guy who lit some firecrackers off in his pants IS a terrorist. Go figure.

At some point, this string of small terrorist attacks has to be aggregated and taken as a serious threat.

The Obama administration, as well as the liberals on this thread, are sleeping at the switch. Eventually, they're going to wake up and recognize that we're under attack.

I hope we don't have to lose another 3,000 or more people. But I do recall that right after 9/11, when we first went to war, my greatest concern was the the Left would forget 9/11 very quickly.

I wish I could remember where I read it; but shortly after 9/11, there was an FBI agent who had been involved with investigating prior terrorist attacks. He said to one of his colleagues, "They just didn't kill enough people on 9/11 for them to take it seriously".

And they didn't. So, we have people on this very thread referring to 9/11 as a "pimple on America's ass" and marginalizing the attack. It is pretty pathetic if you think about it.

Jim? The initial reports said something about firecrackers, but it was almost immediately reported as being PETN, a (relatively old) high explosive somewhat related to nitroglycerin, and the same explosive used by the infamous shoe bomber Richard Reid. Wasn't very much, but apparently it doesn't take that much, the main saving grace seems to have been that whatever chemical detonation scheme he was trying to use didn't work and it burned instead of exploding.
