Sector,

The following quote from Leland Weisner (in his post to you) does support a CPQ interest in networking: "COMS is playing the commodity market and soon will be eliminated when NICS are motherboard features." I.e., as networking functionality moves into the p.c., CPQ would want to be involved. Perhaps ASND/COMS helps make it happen.

Also, CPQ long has been a top dog in the high end p.c. server market. I suppose integration of ASND into the company could help make it a top dog in the telco network server market, so to speak.

Lastly, speaking of Toyota, will its telco package be based on a Camry platform? <VBG> But you are right, the Japanese multinationals do tend to get into a diverse variety of industries.

Take care and good luck in the markets tomorrow.
