"When it came down to it, the Rs were not allowed to participate in the process for one second. And you know it."

No, we don't. They were invited, courted even. Some, in the beginning, pretended to participate, like Chuck Grassley. A LOT of time was wasted, and compromises made. Eventually, the (R)'s seem to decide to oppose Obama as a block, and to make healthcare his "Waterloo".

But, it's becoming THEIR "Waterloo", since history will record the (R) party opposed en mass yet ANOTHER major initiative to benefit AMERICANS. As per usual.

"Sigh. Utter bullshit as usual."

No bullshit about it. How many times did they talk about making health care reform Obama's Waterloo?

There you go again. Just making shit up. They were begged to be part of the process. They refused.
