'Thar 'tis 'somethin 'fer everyone. + Churches with no instruments. + Churches with no music, they just chant (i.e.Witness Lee) + Churches that are "loud" in their praise and worship + Churches that are quiet (i.e. Quaker/Friends) + Churches that raise one hand (usually the right) when they worship + Churches that raise two hands + Churches that raise two hands half mast with hands opened upward + Churches that dance in the aisles to the loud music + Churches that are high in liturgy and formality + Churches that are so informal, they talk aloud during prelude + Churches that meet in prison -- the persecuted church + Churches that meet in homes secretly -- such as China and formerly Russia + Churches that meet with guards outside the church, such as in Egypt + Churches that use water for communion in prison (the persecuted church) + Churches that meet on the internet (Where 2or 3 are gathered in the name of Jesus) As Gaither writes in one of his songs: "Let the Church be the church, let the people rejoice." The church, be it "high" or "low" or somewhere in the middle, has withstood all kinds of persecution through the generations. But the Churches one foundation is Jesus Christ our Lord. And the Christian Rock and Rollers are just following some of their forefathers, the Holy Rollers. A youngster was playing with some marbles in church when I was a kid myself, he dropped some of the marbles while we were all listening to the long prayers of our parents and they came rolling down the hard wooden floor right by me. Soooo, I was in one of the earlier Holy Roller services. Now 'thar are different kind of 'taters at Sporting events. + Those that yell at umps and refs. + Those that sit on their hands and yawn. + Those that cheer and cheer and cheer, like Cleveland Indian fans + Those that boo and boo and boo 'Tiz considered acceptable to be a "spec tater" that is "involved." So should it be considered acceptable when we are more than "spec taters" -- in fact, we are "participa taters" in church. Amen and amen. Enuf' 'sed. J.
