We've been the initiators of all the wars since WWII that we participated in. None of which threatened the United States, and required no "defense" of our selves.

Only if you consider Saddam's attack on Kuwait and intent to take the Saudis to be "not a threat" to the US. Of course, anyone who doesn't have his head up his ass knows that giving Saddam S.A. would literally have destroyed the United States.

We're the country that goes to war, for other countries. I don't think it pays off.

The UK declared war on Germany for Polen.

The UK thus initiated WW II, when Germany decided to solve the corridor problem, when the Poles eventually refused to compromise.
