We didn't have to invade Iraq to defend Saudi Arabia.

I don't think it is an accurate characterization to say we "invaded" Iraq; we merely pushed Iraq out of Kuwait. But it WAS a war, and it WAS one we had to fight.

We could have let him HAVE Kuwait, which he actually had some legitimate claim on.

Ridiculous.

After running him out of Kuwait, we could have stopped.

We did, nitwit.

Do we really CARE which Arab we buy oil from?

We would prefer to have MORE Arabs controlling the supply rather than fewer.
