re REITs

Commercial RE is still declining - 1.5% for October 2009. Link to an interesting site:

Also take a look at the cap rate for Hongkong -4.54%. if that's not a bubble I don't know what is. I think most REITs are trading far above NAV at this point. An interesting pair trade would be to go long commercial RE debt (Via STWD or ARI) and short a REIT index.

Not doing well with my shares of reit GOV. Stock might be down and dropping because of co's proposal to issue more shares. Or down for other reasons.

This income producer looks like it's going to be a mistake for me, or at least more risky than I had presumed.

At current price though, I'm taking a few more shares and will try to wait it out.
