You do know that a "legally" owned machine gun has never been used in a crime by the owner? LOL. My point exactly. You make something highly available and you should be surprised when it is used in ways that none of us want it to be used. It's like putting a lion in a cage with a dear and telling the lion not to eat the dear. Do you really expect that he will listen? That's why we have laws that we enforce. It keeps societal violence low enough that the most people can live a fairly peaceful life. Part of that is restricting availability of those things that are likely to result in murder. Tell me this. Why was a machine gun created? There is only one reason. It was created to kill human beings faster. No hunter I know pretends that a machine gun is good for anything else.
