even the date, dec 25th, has a pagan.

en.wikipedia.org

while i can understand the skepticism regarding miracles described in the bible (if god exists, though, they would be a piece of cake), but the wisdom and prophecies of the bible are pretty incredible.

1. people must care about the needs of others equal to oneself to have a just society and any hope of peace and happiness. i believe history has shown this to be 100% true - and humans have tried every way possible to justify selfishness and the results are always bad.
2. a prophecy that mankind would one day possess the ability to destroy all life.
3. a prophecy that an event would be broadcast all around the world.
4. a prophecy that the end time would be defined by "traveling to and fro." transportation sure is a hallmark of our current age.
5. that humanity would continue to treat others worse and worse... poverty is incredible. social injustice is the rule. the 20th century saw 170 million killed as a direct result of war.
6. that the universe didn't exist at a previous point in time - it was created. einstein died believing that the universe was eternal. it wasn't until after he died that science proved the earth did not exist and then came into existence.

yes, humanity's (i use the term loosely) use of the bible to serve their own agenda is typical - just like they ignore the instructions therein and use religion and the bible for selfish gain.

" We now have the ability to wipe ourselves out. "

The taxpayers funds of future generation is probably in
the wipe out process, if not already dispensed to 'rescue
ourselves from calamity'.

Just make sure they are 'non-reportable-event' so nobody
even find out what hit/kill them.

AWESOME.
